Jim Ramsay Clock Collection
The Jim Ramsay Clock Collection is a collaboration between Paulin and the artist, Jim Ramsay. Each dial has been individually designed and screen-printed in Jim's studio in the East End of Glasgow. For this series of clock dials, Jim embraced the unpredictable nature of the screen printing process, improvising their layout and allowing glitches and overlaps to inform the outcome. His compositions are familiar but uncanny, drawing from his practice, where landscapes and urban scenes are abstracted into dreamscapes. Each of the five clocks is a one-off and has been signed by the artist. The clock is made from cork and aluminium with a sweeping second hand. Inès Gradot Clock Collection
The Inès Gradot Clock Collection is a collaboration between Paulin and the artist, Inès Gradot. Each dial has been individually designed and riso-printed by Inès at Risotto Studios in Glasgow. Inès uses illustration as a way of responding to her environment, playfully fusing hand-drawn and digital techniques. The risograph clock collection depicts dream-like scenes without a clear era or time of day; flowers blooming at night, migrating birds and people, and sunrises and sunsets projected on the Moon. Each of the five clocks is a one-off and has been signed by the artist. The clock is made from cork and aluminium with a sweeping second hand.
